Welcome to another beauty haul blogpost!

Firstly, really like this korean cleanser. It calms the redness on my face. It costs like $20 for a very large tube and it's able to lasts me for at least 3 months, therefore saving me the hassle of sourcing for a new cleanser so soon.

I decided to try using micellar water to remove my makeup. Although it is not disappointing, I still prefer the old skool method of using oil based makeup remover... what about you? do you like traditional oil based makeup remover or do you prefer the new type of micellar water?

Silky girl recently launched a new range of products. Really love it! I decided to give their bb cushion a try. The coverage is ok but I do have to apply it under the sunlight to prevent my face from looking too cakey. I really like using bb cushion as compared to using pressed powder as it is more hydrating and it does not aggravate the skin. And it has SPF which is good! So Silky girl if you need an ambassador, you know where to look for one!

This moisturizer works really well. Face looks fairer the next day morning!

I bought this aloe gel from The Face Shop as it is having a promotion! It is going for 2 for $10 and I pass one to my friend. Skin feel soothing and moisturized!

BEAUTY REVIEWS: PANTENE SILKY SMOOTH CARE SHAMPOO

 

Hi there!

Look which shampoo came out top in my poll of best shampoo I've been trying out!!

It's none other than Pantene silky smooth care shampoo!

This product is from P&G and it retails at less than $10 at Venus beauty.

Somebody recommended and gave it to me to try. And I really love it!

Hair looks and feels soft and smooth after usage but without over drying!

Although the content of this shampoo is milky, it does not cause greasiness to the scalp. And I do not notice a lot of hair falls which is awesome!

I give this product a 9/10! I really recommend it to all women who desires healthy silky hair without causing a hole in the pocket!

Steps:

1. Use Merythod Reelcover cica cushion in natural beige on your entire face
2. Draw your brow using Kleancolor eyebrow palette
3. Use e.l.f mineral infused mascara on your lashes
4. Use a bright coral pink lipstick on your lips

Ta-dah! You are done with a cool everyday korean makeup look!

HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN AND EGG MAYO SANDWICH

 

Ingredients:

1 piece chicken breast - diced

2 hard boiled eggs 

4 slices bread

mayonnaise

1/2 lemon

lettuce

tomatoes - sliced

black pepper

Directions:

- Boiled the chicken breast in hot water until cooked. Add the cooked chicken cubes, mayonnaise and lemon juice in a container.

- Smashed the eggs in a separate container. Add mayonnaise and black pepper.

- Mixed well for both

- Line the bread with lettuce and tomatoes.

- Add chicken breast and egg mayo on top.

- Cut into halves and served

I own tons of blushers, I recently added this NARS one(which I bought at Sephora) to my collection! can't wait to use it!

Love this serum from Hada Labo. It's really expensive but I was lucky to have bought it at a 50% discount from Watsons! It calms the redness on my face and repair my damaged skin from the harmful UV rays. If you're having any skin problems, I'd recommend you to buy it!

This Innisfree moisturizer is pretty good. I managed to almost empty it before passing to my friend to try it...

And lastly, this cleanser and toner works quite well, really like it a lot.

FOOD REVIEWS: WAN XING NASI LEMAK AT ALBERT CENTRE MARKET AND FOOD CENTRE

Today I want to review about this nasi lemak stall at Bugis!

This stall has been around for quite some time in Singapore, although I'm not sure exactly when it's established (can check with the boss).

They offered a variety of choices of nasi lemak in different sets. Love love love the set that includes chicken wings and kuning fish.

They have recently renovated their stall and change up their menu abit. And they have also change their coconut rice to blue pea rice which I personally like too...

It's affordable and service is good(lesser queueing time).

I give it a 8.5/10. Best nasi lemak in town!

Went over to my sis house and made BBQ pulled pork sandwiches together! This recipe is so tasty. Do give it a try if you have the time!

Brought my nephew for MacDonald's at Safra CCK

Went to Gain City at Sungei Kadut and bought a ceiling fan using our climate voucher. Really like the new fan as it has lightings attached to it. Now the house looks as good as new!

FOOD REVIEWS: BEST NASI BRIYANI AT THE WEST SINGAPORE

Today I want to reccommend this Indian Muslim restaurant tucked away in the HDB dwellings of Choa Chu Kang!

Their nasi briyani comes with a piece of chicken and side dishes of cabbages, a hard-boiled egg and a papadum.

The rice is served piping hot and really liked that the curry is not very spicy.

The nasi briyani costs $7.50 per plate which is quite affordable.

And did I mentioned the roti prata there is really good too!?

If you enjoyed Banana Leaf, you will enjoy NKS restaurant too!

I've been drinking a cup of floral tea religiously everyday for about 6 months now.

I usually buy chamomile and jasmine tea from NTUC Fairprice or barley tea and some assorted floral teas from Daiso.

Today I want to recommend a stall which I frequent often selling sliced fish soup.

This Michelin awarded stall is established more than 50 years ago as a street stall.

The soup is clear and sweet. The fish slices are tender and fresh.

The sliced fish soup plus a bowl of rice are price at $6 which is considered affordable.

They do give a generous amount of cabbages and chye sim.

I give this sliced fish soup stall a 8.5/10. A definite must-try!

Love this new drugstore korean cleanser from COSRX. It does an okay job of cleansing my face and quite cheap for the quality. Will repurchase.

I was looking for a cheaper alternative for high-end face wash and I found this Simple face bar soap at Venus beauty! I used this soap 3 times per day and it only costs me less than $3 for a pack of 2. This is really cheap and good! Love it!

This Olay moisturizer is my go to day cream when I'm going outdoors. It consists of SPF 15 and it blocks out the harmful UV rays from my skin! My face is less red when I come home from outside and it's really cheap... Love it!

This night time moisturizer does an okay job of keeping my skin hydrated and it smells really good. It only costs around $10. Definitely do give this a try if you're on a budget and looking for something cheap and good!

I recently contracted eczema and this lotion definitely helps to keep my skin moisturized and less itchy!

Today I'd like to review this Bak Chor Mee stall at Choa Chu Kang!

Established more than 20 years ago at CCK, this BCM stall has been a fave amongst the residents of CCK!

Their BCM is selling for $4.50 per bowl and it comes with a bowl of yummy BCM soup.

They do give a generous portions of minced pork and chinese mushrooms! 

If you do not like spicy noodles, the tomato-based BCM is just as good!

This BCM stall opens 24 hours a day, so do hop on down for a delicious bowl of BCM if you're having any late night cravings!

I give their BCM a 8.5/10! A definite must try!

HOW TO SAVE WATER AND ELECTRICITY

1. Shampoo your hair every 2-3 days without using conditioner
2. Half the flow of water coming out of the tap when washing dishes and cutleries. Wash them slowly. Your crockeries will be cleaner and it saves water
3. Turn off all the lights in the day and allow natural sunlight in
4. Switch off your router before you go to bed at night. There's less radiation which can be unhealthy for your health
5. Set your phone to airplane mode in the night before you sleep to save battery
6. Only use half flush for urination
7. Use energy saving LED lights for reading and turn off all other lights in the room
8. You may want to repeat your clothing before you throw it into the washing machine to lessen the wash load
9. Those who lived in landed properties can place 3 pails outside the garden to catch rainwater and used it to water the plants when it's sunny
10. Avoid switching on the heater for too long and take cold showers instead.

Remember when you practice the above methods, you are not just saving money but you are also saving the environment too!

Welcome to another beauty haul blogpost for the New Year 2024!

I bought this cleansing foam which originally costs $51 but I managed to buy it at only $21 by redeeming my birthday voucher! Luckily, this cleanser is quite good and I managed to empty it... 

This face sheet masks is a new research product from My Beauty Diary and it does an okay job of hydrating my skin.

This moisturizer consists of coconut oil and green tea extract. It does an okay job and only costs around $12... But be careful, it takes some time for the cream to be fully absorbed into the skin...

Really like this new cleanser from Bio-essence. It works quite well and costs less than $10 which is awesome...

I'm still trying out various shampoos. This Himalaya one smells quite nice and does an okay job of cleansing my hair. You might want to try this out for yourself to see if it's good!
