HALL OF FAME: ADELE

Hi there!

Today's Hall of Fame star is none other than the curvaceous singer Adele!

I first notice Adele when I kept seeing her first song "Rolling in the deep" which keep repeating on MTV lol...

I further notice Adele was when I kept seeing a lot of chinese contestants covering her song "Rolling in the deep"  on the Taiwanese singing competition variety show "One millionth star".

Her vocals are really deep and powerful. And below are her Top 5 songs I love!

  1. Hello
  2. I drink wine
  3. Make you feel my love
  4. When we were young
  5. Send my love

MY 43RD BIRTHDAY!!

 Hi there!

I just celebrated my 43rd birthday with my family! We ordered pizza, sushi and chicken wings! My mum bought a nice coffee cake.

43 years of being alive. Isn't that amazing? Of course, life has its ups and downs, but I always try to look on the bright side!

For this year, my birthday wish is to get more rest and go travelling!

Had a blast for my birthday with my family this year. Looking forward to a more fulfilling year next year!

Take care!

LOVE IS....

Hi guys,

Today, I'd like to share some of my thoughts on relationship... So here goes!

In the end, it's the one you want to talk to after each day, the one you share banter and jokes with, even though you're both too tired to laugh whole heartedly. It's the one who listens as you go on about how life is treating you, the one who makes you smile and cheers you up when you're feeling low.

It's the person who wishes you good morning, the one who calls you in the evening to see if you're okay. It's the first person that comes to your mind when something goes right or wrong.

It's the person who understand your mood and can deal with your anger, the one who knows that you're not perfect, but loves you in every way.  The one you can share everything with. The one you tell your fears to, the one you share your dreams with. The one who stands by you as you work hard toward all your goals.

It's the one who loves and respects you for who you are. The person who will be there for you every step along the way, that's who your heart belongs to.

Beauty Reviews: Tsubaki Shampoo Premium Moist & Repair Camellia Hair Shampoo 450ml

Hi there!

Today I'm gonna review about this shampoo from Tsubaki!

I first notice and tried it roughly 10 years ago when it was very popular among a lot of beauty enthusiasts! I decided to try it again 10 years later when it relaunch with a new packaging!

It retails at $17.50 at Unity Pharmacy.

The content of the shampoo gives out a nice camellia scent and it has a rich creamy texture.

I pumped it twice instead of 3 times (for other shampoos) but the lathering is still very foamy...

Hair feels soft and moisturized after 2 to 3 usage!

I give this beauty product only a 7.5/10 as it's a little on the pricey side.

That's all for my review for today. Take care! See ya!

FOOD REVIEWS: THE WHALE TEA

Hi there!

Today I'd like to review about this new bubble tea chain in Singapore call The Whale Tea!

I ordered their signature Classic Brown Sugar Boba Milk tea for $5.70.

Their tea is of very good quality! I'd recommend you to order their roasted version instead of classic version which has a stronger aromatic roasted tea taste...

The brown sugar is nicely caramelized and the pearls are nice and chewy.

They currently have 5 outlets in Singapore. I'm glad I found this new bubble tea chain instead of the usual suspects like iTea, LiHo, Gong Cha and Koi...

I give their bubble tea a 8.5/10! A definite must-try!

FOOD REVIEWS: KOPI KORNER AT SUNSHINE PLACE

Hi there!

Today  wanna recommend a newly renovated cafe near my house!

And that's Kopi Korner at Choa Chu Kang! The place is clean and cozy.

We ordered the breakfast set $6.80 and Honey Teh-O $3.50 from a very friendly Malay staff.

Their menu also consists of muslim and western food.

The breakfast set consists of 2 sunny side-up, 2 hotdogs, 2 slices toasts and a kopi/teh of your choice!

I'd say the breakfast is really appetizing and the iced teh-o is very nice too!

I give this cafe a 8.5/10! A definite must try!

That's all!

15 TIPS ON HOW TO LIVE FRUGALLY

  1. Eat cheap breakfast - You can choose to get a lighter breakfast in the morning. Instead of having a heavy breakfast containing carbs, you can opt to have just toasts with peanut butter/strawberry jam/cream cheese and a cup of low fat coffee like me. Or you can choose to have the occasional oats with strawberries/blueberries/banana. Use more brain-based energy instead of physical energy. And for lunch you can have salad or noodles soup and round off your day with a hearty dinner.
  2. Cut down on your transport expenses - You can apply for SimplyGo from your company to save on public transportation. You can choose to walk or car sharing whenever possible. Opt for Zoom meeting to save the hassle of travelling to work.
  3. Eat out frugally - Try not to eat out too often. You can pack your own lunch or dinner or cook at home whenever possible. My mother cooked either extra pasta or japanese curry rice packed in tupperware to be microwaved. This allows us to save the hassle of eating out too often and also save money too.
  4. Declutter - Declutter your stuffs once in a while. You can dig out good stuff which you can sell on carousell and earn some money. Or you can opt for free gifting and gift those good stuff to your friends or family during the holiday season or on their birthdays and therefore saving money...
  5. Stay home - By staying home, you cut down on impulse buying at shopping malls. Find free entertainment like watching DVDs.
  6. Wait for sale - You can visit a thrift shop to hunt down some good buys. Ask around first, namely your friends or family if they have that sweater, trench coat, designer bags which they can lend or give to you. Shop online once a month. They offer a lot of trendy items at a cheaper price than shopping at physical stores.
  7. Become a minimalist - You can build a capsule wardrobe with a few classic pieces to lessen your impulse buying. Opt for more earth tone clothes and shoes. I buy lesser shoes now as I'm sticking to only black, white or brown sandals and plimsolls.
  8. Borrow books from the library
  9. Stay healthy - Exercise and keep yourself healthy to save on medical bills
  10. Quit smoking and drinking at bars and clubs
  11. Save on desserts and travels which are not mandatory
  12. Fixed or DIY your own things
  13. Save energy and gas ie. lessen the wash load of your washing machine, switch off all lights in the day and switch off the air-con/fan as much as possible
  14. Plan ahead for meals and travel ie cheaper flight tickets
  15. Invest more in quality items

TRAVELOGUE: BIRD PARADISE AT MANDAI

  Hi there!

Finally got the chance to go sightseeing in Singapore abit during the CNY period! Me and my sis took the opportunity to visit the new bird park at Mandai on a Sunday! It is accessible by bus 927 from CCK bus interchange(which is near my house!)... It is a 15mins bus ride away!

We are greeted by a very nice Starbucks near the entrance. And we bought tickets online for 2 adults for around $100. Better make the moolah we spent on the entry tickets worth it.

The new park is massive and nicely designed! The new park is whimsical and tourists friendly(Haha is there even such a word?) Deja Vu. We spent 3-4 hours exploring the entire park. There's a child-friendly trolley kart if your child is feeling tired which you can drag... And they have air-conditioned stops which you can rest and cool off...

They have a food court in the park and you can have something to eat while waiting for the performance!

They park is segregated into different zones. My favourite area is the penguin cove and crimson wetland! The birds are all so adorable!!!

Spent a fun day with my sis... Hope to do it again soon!
