TRAVELOGUE: BIRD PARADISE AT MANDAI

  Hi there!

Finally got the chance to go sightseeing in Singapore abit during the CNY period! Me and my sis took the opportunity to visit the new bird park at Mandai on a Sunday! It is accessible by bus 927 from CCK bus interchange(which is near my house!)... It is a 15mins bus ride away!

We are greeted by a very nice Starbucks near the entrance. And we bought tickets online for 2 adults for around $100. Better make the moolah we spent on the entry tickets worth it.

The new park is massive and nicely designed! The new park is whimsical and tourists friendly(Haha is there even such a word?) Deja Vu. We spent 3-4 hours exploring the entire park. There's a child-friendly trolley kart if your child is feeling tired which you can drag... And they have air-conditioned stops which you can rest and cool off...

They have a food court in the park and you can have something to eat while waiting for the performance!

They park is segregated into different zones. My favourite area is the penguin cove and crimson wetland! The birds are all so adorable!!!

Spent a fun day with my sis... Hope to do it again soon!

MY LIFE DIARIES #14

Having kopi and toast with my sis!

Especially went to Bugis to get this shokupan. It costs like $2,50 per piece. I refrigerate it and took it out to thaw the next day... Still very chewy and fresh. The portion is great for having tea break at home!

FOOD REVIEWS: LONG SEN HOKKIEN PRAWN MEE AT BUKIT GOMBAK

Hi there!

Today I'm going to review about this hidden gem at Bukit Gombak!

This hokkien mee stall is located in a coffeeshop which is a stone throw away from the MRT!

I've been patronizing coffeeshops for meals instead of going to cafes which are more expensive... Having my lunch or dinners at the coffeeshop is a cheaper alternative as I'm trying to tighten my purse-string...

Back to the food, this hokkien mee is cooked al dente. And the sambal chilli add a tangy sweetness to the noodles!

It costs $5 per plate which is considered very affordable.

It is the best hokkien mee I've tried so far in the west of Singapore.

This coffeeshop also house famous stalls selling claypot congee and prawn noodles soup!

I give their hokkien mee a 8.5/10! A definite must try!!!

MY BEAUTY HAUL - DEC '24

bring green calming moisture pH balance cleansing foam from Guardian pharmacy, Garnier micellar cleansing rose water 125ml from Watsons, Silky girl magic bb cushion - 04 warm natural from Watsons, The Ordinary natural moisturizing factors + ha 30ml from Zalora, The face shop Jeju aloe fresh soothing gel

Hi there!

Welcome to another beauty haul blogpost!

Firstly, really like this korean cleanser. It calms the redness on my face. It costs like $20 for a very large tube and it's able to lasts me for at least 3 months, therefore saving me the hassle of sourcing for a new cleanser so soon.

I decided to try using micellar water to remove my makeup. Although it is not disappointing, I still prefer the old skool method of using oil based makeup remover... what about you? do you like traditional oil based makeup remover or do you prefer the new type of micellar water?

Silky girl recently launched a new range of products. Really love it! I decided to give their bb cushion a try. The coverage is ok but I do have to apply it under the sunlight to prevent my face from looking too cakey. I really like using bb cushion as compared to using pressed powder as it is more hydrating and it does not aggravate the skin. And it has SPF which is good! So Silky girl if you need an ambassador, you know where to look for one!

This moisturizer works really well. Face looks fairer the next day morning!

I bought this aloe gel from The Face Shop as it is having a promotion! It is going for 2 for $10 and I pass one to my friend. Skin feel soothing and moisturized!
